BLUEBERRY AMBASSADOR MOMENTS

Blueberry Moment 13107
The first good deed I did was I went to the humane society and donated a lot of food for the cats and dogs. I also donated cat toys and cleaning supplies. I went to the humane society because I love animals. The ladies that worked there were very happy.
Blueberry Moment 13109
The second good deed I did was I went to Dollar General where my mom works and took all the carts out of the parking lot and brought them back into the store. Shelly, who was working at the store, was very happy.
Blueberry Moment 13108
The third good deed I did was I went to Dollar General and bought a big doll and put it in the toys for tots box that was at the store. It made me happy because I know that it is going to make some girl very happy on Christmas morning.
Blueberry Moment 13116
I helped my papa drag leaves to the woods. I love my papa and he deserves help. I was at my Mammi and Papa’s house. My papa was very happy that I helped!
Blueberry Moment 13118
I went grocery shopping. We had a grocery cart full of stuff so I helped my mom put the groceries in the car. My mommy was happy I helped.
Blueberry Moment 13117
My mom took me to Walmart and I gave money to the Salvation Army. There is always someone who needs help in our community. It made me feel good inside to help others.
Blueberry Moment 13125
For my first Blueberry Moment, I helped my little brother, Carlos, do his homework. My mom was doing laundry and I wanted to help both him and my mom. I love being his big brother and helping out. My mom was so proud of me. All she could do was smile with joy!
Blueberry Moment 13162
For my second Blueberry Moment, I helped my mom clean the snow off her car before we had to go to school. It was so cold and so snowy but I enjoyed helping her because I love her.
Blueberry Moment 13125
For my third Blueberry Moment, I helped my grandpa shovel the sidewalk and the driveway. There was so much snow that it took almost an hour. My grandpa was appreciative!
On Friday, November 29, I was spending the night at my grandma’s house. I had an idea and asked my grandma if I could rake her leaves for her. I told my grandma about the Blueberry Moments and she said she would love it if I did her whole front yard. So that’s what I did. I raked until the whole thing was finished and it took a very long time…..but it was worth it because my grandma was very happy that I had helped without being asked.
For my first Blueberry Moment, I wrote a card to my mailman because he or she always has to go out and deliver mail to everybody. I think it is extra hard when it is winter because it is very cold and the roads are bad. So, I wrote a card that said, “Thank you for delivering our mail, we appreciate you! Have a Merry Christmas”. The next day I went out there and it was gone. I was so happy he or she got my card.
For my second Blueberry Moment, I helped my mom mop our hallway and my brother’s room. I helped her because she has to do a lot of things like clean, do laundry, and work. So, I helped her and she was so happy, I could tell by the look on her face. It was so fun to mop that I wanted to do it every day. But when I saw her smile it was like a nice smile.
For my third Blueberry Moment, I gave my teacher a Christmas present because she helps me out every day but Saturday and Sunday. It was a big coffee mug with little candies in it. I could tell by the smile on her face, that she was happy. I also got her the biggest coffee mug out of the class. It feels good to be nice to people. I was so happy she liked it.
Blueberry Moment 13149
For my first Blueberry Moment, I went to the store and bought stuff for chocolate chip cookies. And then I went home and made the chocolate chip cookies for my neighbors. I chose them because they always do nice stuff for my family and me, like
they helped build our fence and fixed our car. I told them that I am a Blueberry Ambassador at my school and I have to do three random acts of kindness. They appreciated the cookies and said thanks.
Blueberry Moment 13150
For my second Blueberry Moment, me and my mom went to Dollar General and we got toys and some coloring books and two blankets. And then we went home and me and my sister went through our stuffed animals and put them in a bag to donate. We chose Carriage Town Ministries. I chose to do that because some people are less fortunate. I think it would make all the people there happy. Next year, we are going to sponsor a family.
Blueberry Moment 13151
For my third Blueberry Moment, I went to the store and bought dog and cat stuff like treats and toys. Then I went to the animal shelter and gave the cat stuff and dog stuff to a lady. I chose to do this as one of Blueberry Moments because I love animals and my family used to foster cats and dogs in North Carolina. My family adopted a dog from the shelter and we named him Loki.
My first Blueberry Moment was putting pennies at the horse at Meijer. I did this to entertain kids that are poor and don’t have pennies to put in the horse because I feel bad for them and I want to help them and the community feel good.
Whenever it snows and my porch is all covered in snow, I will go out and shovel for my neighbors and my family. I do this so my family or my neighbors don’t have to because if I see them doing it I will say, “I’ll finish it up.”
or “here let me help.”.
My third and final Blueberry Moment was donating a puzzle to toys for tots to the children in need because they might not have any presents for Christmas. I did this so I could make a kid’s Christmas day better.

Blueberry Moment 13155
For our first Blueberry Moment, we went to our grandma Jones’ house and decorated Christmas cookies. We then put some on a covered plate and added a bow on top. Our grandma then drove us over to her friend Gail’s apartment to deliver cookies to her. Gail was so happy to receive the homemade decorated cookies. It made us feel good to see her happy.
Blueberry Moment 13156
For our second Blueberry Moment, we went with our mom to the dollar store to purchase items for the Humane Society. We purchased treats for cats and dogs, five dog toys, and five cat toys. We then came home and put them in a Christmas bag. Our Dad took us to the Humane Society to deliver the goodies. After we delivered them, we visited and played with the animals there. We love visiting the Humane Society and it makes us happy to know that we were able to donate treats for the dogs and toys for them to play with.
Blueberry Moment 13157
For our last Blueberry Moment, our mom took us to the Dollar store to purchase toiletries for Hope in a Box. We purchased toilet paper, deodorants, shampoos, body washes, lotions, feminine products, and washcloths. We then took the items and put them in a Christmas bag. My Dad then took us to The Lakeside Agency where they have a box to donate to Hope in a Box. Hope in a Box is a Catholic Charity that collects items to give to the needy. We were glad that we were able to help others in need.
Blueberry Moment 13188
My first Blueberry Moment was when I made toast for my whole family. I wanted to be nice to them and they said, “Thank you. You did not have to do that,” and I replied with, “Yes I did.”
Blueberry Moment 13189
My second Blueberry Moment was I started the car for my dad because he always starts the car. So, I decided to do it for him so he didn’t have to go out in the cold.
Blueberry Moment 13190
My last Blueberry Moment was I wrote a note to the mailman and it said that I appreciate him for delivering my mail for me and he said that made his day.
Blueberry Moment 13173
The other day, my mother came home and told me and my sibling that we are adopting a family. My mom is a social worker. She works at DHS with adults and children. She told us that a woman just got out of an abusive relationship and has an eight year old daughter. So, I decided to make her a gift basket with folders, notebooks, reading books and school supplies.
Blueberry Moment 13174
I was at Outback yesterday and the cook messed up on my meal so I got a whole new meal with sides and everything. The sides were mac n’ cheese and a potato. I was full so I packed it up and gave it to the first homeless person I saw.
Blueberry Moment 13175
The other day, I was really bored so I decided to call my great grandma, grandma, and my sister. My sister said she would like me to babysit my niece and I said sure. My sister has two jobs so I was at her house for like five hours. When she came back, we went to tropical smoothie and she didn’t have her credit card on her so I paid. Then we went to get our nails done.
I had fun experience as a Blueberry. The first thing I did was go to the fire station to give them hot chocolate. But when I went, they were not there, so I went to the police station instead to give them hot chocolate and I signed my name on the back of a card.
Next, I went to someone’s house to give them some money because they know a family that has seven kids with no heat and no beds.
Finally, I went and helped my brother make a gingerbread house because he needed help so we built one together.
One day, I was on the bus and this kid was being mean. He thought it was in a joking way. I didn’t think it was and neither did my friend. The boy started making fun of her saying stuff like “you stink” and some worse stuff. I decided that I wasn’t going to let that happen. So, I stood up for her.
Almost every weekend morning, I go to For-mar with my day and sometimes my brother. Every time, we pass by a book box. I went home and picked out four books that I was able to donate to the book box for someone else to enjoy.
My third Blueberry Moment was the first weekend of December. It was my aunt’s birthday so I made her gifts, decorations and dinner for her!
My mom likes to grocery shop at Aldi’s. She always keeps quarters in the car so we have one to get a cart before we go shopping. Sometimes my mom leaves the quarter in the cart so the next person doesn’t have to have a quarter. For my first Blueberry Moment, I took a quarter from my piggy bank and went to Aldi’s. When we got there, we found a cart and put the quarter in it with a note attached to the cart that said, “I give this cart to you from the kindness of my heart. Pass it on and make another person’s day.” I am honored to be a Blueberry and I like doing nice things for people even if they do not know who did it.
Although this may not be a big Blueberry Moment, it was very big to my Aunt. I volunteered to wrap my Aunt’s Christmas presents for the people that she bought for. Aunt Amanda enjoys cooking and even cleaning, but she really does not enjoy doing laundry or wrapping presents. My mom showed me how to wrap presents a few years ago and I enjoy doing it, so I volunteered to wrap my Aunt’s for her. She was so happy to see all the presents completely wrapped and under the tree and she didn’t have to do it herself. I love Christmas and making people feel good. I also love my Aunt Amanda.
I have one cousin and his name is Devon, he is 22 years old. We are pretty close since he is my only cousin. He really wanted to buy a pair of hockey skates at Play It Again Sports that were on sale for $300. He didn’t get paid for another week and they would only hold the skates for a couple of days. I offered to pay for his skates now and he said he’d pay me back when he got paid. He appreciated my kindness. I like being able to help people when they need it, especially my family. He did pay me back and for that I am thankful.
