For my first Blueberry Ambassador Moment, I stayed with one of my friends at an after-school activity. I knew it would make us both feel restful and gleeful to be there. After that, she was very excited and happy to be friends. This impacted me because I felt the same as she did, I hope this teaches a lesson that sometimes you don’t have to plan to be kind.

For my second Blueberry Moment, Allison P., Allyson T., and I bought popcorn for a special needs class at our school. We came up with the idea while waiting at the end of the day, listing ideas on our whiteboards. I believe that the class felt very joyful after the act. I felt joyful and a  student even came to give us a hug! The teachers/assistants were grateful for this, they gave us hugs too!!!

For my third Blueberry Moment, I went to a senior living care building and played piano. I came up with this idea when I remembered doing another activity at a senior center. This made me feel happy because I got to practice outside of home and I got to practice for other people, not just my dog, cat, and Mom. This made them feel happier because they got to hear music while eating dinner, in fact when I asked the question, “how did you like the music today” Beth responded “I liked it very much, good job!”

For my first Blueberry Moment was when I gave my godmother a batch of brownies, and a nice card. I wanted to thank her for all she has done for me. The reason I wanted to thank her is because she drops me off at Central, so I can get on the shuttle bus to go to Springview, and then I can go to school every day. I would also like to thank her for letting me be at her house after school when my mom is at work on early release days. The reason why I did this act was because she has done so much for me and I have not had really that much time to thank her.

Blueberry Moment 14238
For my second Blueberry Moment, I raked my Grandma’s front and back yard. It made me feel very good because I did it instead of my grandma having to be out in the cold. Also, my grandma has to help out with my papa a lot. Doing this has had a very good impact on my life. It has made me a better person. Also, it has helped me to carry on and do more kind, and helpful things.

Blueberry Moment 14239
For my third Blueberry Moment, my two and I friends bought popcorn for the special education class. It made all of us feel very good because the little kids were really excited when we set the popcorn on their desk. Also, it’s going to help me be a better person because now I know how to do something very kind to somebody randomly.

One Autumn day, when I was at school, Mrs. Cannon announced that we would be having indoor recess. My very first urge was to glue myself to my seat, stick my eyes on the computer, and play cool math games. But then I stopped myself and thought, I don’t need to have cool math games. I should help Mrs. Bowsher with anything she needs help with. I invited my best friend Juliana to help me, and being a good-hearted person, she came with me.

I had just stepped off of Mrs. Shirley’s bus, and noticed that kids had started coming out of the school building. Ringgggg! The bell rang and kids rushed out, racing to get on the bus first. When the kids from Seymour started to get off the bus, I rushed up to a girl named Hayden and immediately said, “Where’s Bryson?” Bryson was a preschooler from Seymour that sometimes got left behind. This was one of those times. I rushed up the stairs of Bryson’s bus and asked the bus driver, “Where’s Bryson?” I sighed in relief as Bryson walked up the aisle towards me. As I walked Bryson back to our second bus, I made sure that Bryson didn’t get left behind in the craziness of afternoon bus switching. Hopefully, Bryson doesn’t get left behind again, but if he does, I will try to be there to help him.

Snip! Snip! Sew! Sew! Fabric upon fabric going into my sewing machine. A minute later… Done! I was making a small dog or cat bed for the vet, for my third act of kindness. “How much longer till we get there?” I asked randomly as we drove to the vet. “A second,” my mom answered simply. She was right! A moment later we were there! As I walked into the vet, I came face to face with the reception desk! The assistant running the reception desk was on the phone and motioned us to sign in. But I’m not here to sign my dog in, I thought. I’m here to donate a dog or cat bed. When the lady got off the phone, she lit up as soon as she saw me holding the dog bed. “And what’s this?” she asked me. As I explained what the Blueberry Ambassadors were, another woman walked into the room. I quickly explained again what the Blueberry Ambassadors were and gave her my last Blueberry Card. After all of the explaining, the second woman said, “I think Daisy back there would like this.” The other woman agreed.

My Blueberry Moment was when I helped Mrs. Burba prepare Boost at my church. At my church, we prepare dinner for everybody who comes to Boost. Me and my family brought taco soup and I helped make and bring out the salad, bring and prepare the donuts and bring out the crock pots for the different soups. I had a book so I could have read, but I saw that Mrs. Burba was struggling. So, I helped her instead of doing what I wanted. I did what she needed help with.

Blueberry Moment 14244
My Blueberry Moment is thanking my art teacher Mrs. Bowsher. She is the one that inspired me to be more creative and helped me with angles in math too. I have so much to thank Mrs. Bowsher for. She helps out Springview A LOT!! Mrs. Bowsher is a very encouraging and fun teacher. Art is my favorite subject next to reading in school. So, Mrs. Bowsher is like a hero in my world. She is amazing! When I came to Springview in third grade, Mrs. Bowsher was one of the most welcoming teachers. She made me and my fellow classmates feel like we were at home. Thank you Mrs. Bowsher!

I finally found the right Blueberry deed. My good deed stemmed from this girl, named Ella. I used to be in her class until I had this opportunity to be in the S.T.E.M. class. Back then, Ella did not have too many friends. I had the opportunity to be her friend but…I busted. Just because I followed the crowd. My deed was making this apology gift. I put four toys in it and a Card that said I was sorry. My mom gave it to Ella the next day because I did not go to her school anymore. My mom said that Ella choked up reading the card. This apology gift really taught me a lesson. Do not always follow the crowd.

For my first good deed, I helped an elderly woman get 10 diet cokes down from the top shelf.

Blueberry Moment 14253
For my second good deed, I kept my aunts dog and took care of him while she was gone.

Blueberry Moment 14254
For my last good deed, I took a bag of 50 pennies and put it on Sandy the horse at Meijer and put a Blueberry Card on it.

I was up at Walgreen’s with my mom and I saw an elderly lady struggling with her basket. So, I got her bags, put away her basket, and helped her with her cane. It made my day.

Blueberry Moment 14256
I was at the playground with my friends and I saw a little girl who was on the swing and didn’t look like she was having fun. So, I offered to give her a push and she said yes and I felt good. I bet she did too.

There is this little girl who always has a smile on her face. So, I went up to her and asked if she wanted a friend. She said yes and I now give her hugs every day at recess or when I just see her in the hallways. You don’t need a Blueberry Card to do a good deed. And you don’t have to go out of your way to do it either. All you need is the bravery and courage and the spirit because a simple hello will make someone’s day.

I went to my great grandma’s. She got hurt so she can’t do things. I also helped my

great grandpa. They needed help cleaning the house. I vacuumed the floor and the vents. I set the table and warmed up their dinner.

Blueberry Moment 14260
On November 27, I took hats and gloves to Springview Elementary for kids who need them. I got eight hats and eight pairs of gloves.

Blueberry Moment 14259
I gave some new toys to a girl named Leighton. She has Cystic Fibrosis and is in the hospital for 14 days. And she will get bored so I am giving her some toys.

This was a special delivery to a gentleman who was buying two pizzas and I thought, what would it feel like if I bought a pizza for a next Hot-and-Ready, so I asked my mom “Can we buy the next Hot and Ready?” Sure she said. When we paid for the pizza, the front desk girl said, “Oh my gosh, that is so nice” simultaneously I thought it does feel good to give. So, when the next person came up to buy a Hot-and-Ready, he said, “How much is it?” The cashier replied, “About $7 because someone already paid for one of your pizzas,” and once I saw the look on his face when he heard, it felt really good because you tell on his face that he really appreciated it. I learned that even though I had to buy a pizza with my own money I learned that it feels good to be kind and not care about the little things in life.

Thanksgiving, what a wonderful time of the year. You think that when you go to your family’s parties and feast it is so fun and don’t get me wrong it is super fun. My family comes to town and others just come to my aunt’s house. This year was the first year I get to sit at the ‘grown up’s table.’ I was actually kind of excited. I was always treated as a baby when my family came into town. Sitting at that table would shed that memory and I would not be treated like a child like the little ones. But when my cousin comes that feeling transforms back to childish behavior. When my aunt said I could sit at the other grown up table with only two seats she said that I would be sitting with her, but I bet you know what comes up next. My cousin has to sit with me, that ruins my chance. When we started to eat, I had got my plate my aunt had told me that I had to sit with my cousin. I helped my aunt out by sitting with her and also hanging out with her so she would not be in my aunt’s or anybody else’s way. This helped my aunt out a lot because if I did not keep my cousin in check then she would be all over my aunt. Trying to help her all the time and asking if she can help her cook or something. Then my aunt would get nothing done and we would not have any food to eat for Thanksgiving. I learned that helping out family is really helpful. When you have a chance help around the house like watching your siblings or even cleaning up the house. It helped A LOT!!!!!

In my class, we have jobs at the end of the day and one of the girls in my class doesn’t have time to pack up. So, I packed up her stuff for her.

Blueberry Moment 14268
It was the Thanksgiving luncheon day so I made my teacher a card. Inside I wrote a poem and taped the Blueberry Ambassador Card in it. On the outside, I drew a cute turkey.

Blueberry Moment 14269
We were studying the character strength gratitude. Me and some of my friends put gratitude sticky notes and sometimes a Blueberry Ambassador Card and stuck it either in their mailbox or to their door. My Blueberry Ambassador Card went to Mrs. Lockwood.

For my first random act of kindness, I wrote a poem to a staff member that works at my school. I wrote it to Mrs. Sheldon. In my poem, I explained how much she means to me and the rest of my school. I also made sure to mention that she is a very important asset for our school. Mrs. Sheldon is always going above and beyond to please our school, and I wanted her to know that I’m thankful.

Blueberry Moment 14262
For my second random act of kindness I gave a poem to my third and fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Sherwood. I wrote how much I missed her. I also added how kind she was to me and her other students. I really feel like she was helpful to me. I was in her class for two years so I was really able to grow a bond with her.

Blueberry Moment 14261
For my last Blueberry Card, I gave it to a lady at Walgreen’s. The reason I gave her the Blueberry Card was because she was buying Christmas gifts and I thought it would be kind to buy her a bag of chocolate. She was very thankful for the chocolate. I personally feel that you should be nice to everyone, even people you don’t know.

For my Blueberry Moment, the first thing I did was help my neighbors clean their kids room so Ashley, the mom, doesn’t have to do it when she gets home from work. That put a smile on her face.

Blueberry Moment 14274
Another one I did was for my mom. I helped her for my brother’s birthday party. I helped her set up food and decorations which helped her a lot and made her smile.

Blueberry Moment 14275
The last one I did was for my sister. I helped her clean her side of the room because we share a room. So, when she came home after school to a surprise like a clean room, that made her smile.

For my first good deed, I gave my friend Charlie money so he could buy a pizza and pop. His dad was not with him and he didn’t have any money.

Blueberry Moment 14271
For my second good deed, I gave my brother the rest of my money so he could buy my mom a gift.

Blueberry Moment 14272
For my third good deed, I bought my friend Charlie two pickles because he didn’t have a snack.
