BLUEBERRY AMBASSADOR MOMENTS
Kearsley Dowdall Elementary, coordinator Aimee Martin
My first Blueberry Moment was at Christmas time. We had a can drive to get food for needy families. I helped Mrs. Taylor collect the cans from each room then we started to sort them. I felt good because I was helping Mrs. Taylor sort the food, and helped people that needed the canned goods.
My second Blueberry Moment was on Christmas day. I made a healthy snack basket for my neighbor with apples and oranges. Then she came over to my house and she said, ”Thank you very much,” and I said, ”You’re welcome.”
Our third Blueberry Moment was when we made bags and put treats inside the bag. We made them for our community police officers. This made me happy because we were giving treats and healthy things to police officers who help us every day. The police officers came to school to meet us.
My first Blueberry Moment was at Christmas and what we did was we colored Christmas cards for the elderly and gave them to a nursing home.
My next Blueberry Moment was we went down to Mrs. Taylor’s room (Mrs. Taylor is our counselor) and we helped sort cans and food for people that need it.
Then my next Blueberry Moment was when I went to my grandma’s house and I helped take down her Christmas decorations.
My last Blueberry Moment was when we made a snack basket for the police officers. We put chips and cards in the basket. As a Blueberry, we are supposed to complete three acts of kindness and I felt good about what I did.
My first Blueberry Moment was at Christmas. We had a can drive at Dowdall to collect food for those that might need it. With Mrs. Taylor, we sorted cans for needy people.
My second Blueberry Moment was also at Christmas. We made cards for a nursing home and gave them to them.
My last Blueberry Moment was in January with police officers. We gave them a gift basket full of snacks, drinks, and cards. The policemen came to school to meet us, and we took a picture with them.
My first Blueberry Moment was when we had a food drive, and we had to collect canned goods from all the rooms. Then, I filled the baskets with all of the food drive stuff. I felt good because I gave some families healthy food and helped our school counselor.
My second Blueberry Moment was when I bought a bouquet and handed out one flower to each person that I saw at the store, and told them to have a great day. I felt good about that because I felt like I made someone’s day.
My last Blueberry Moment was when we made a gift basket for the police men, and told them thank you for all the support that they give. I felt good about myself because I felt like I gave them a great day.
For my first Blueberry Moment, I helped people organize food drives. I helped Mrs. Taylor, at my school, sort cans for those in need. We sorted food in boxes and then she gave them to families that needed food. Then I went to my grandparents’ church and I helped get food and I took them out to the other families’ cars so they could have lots of food. It made me feel helpful because I was helping people who needed food.
My next Blueberry Moment was when we made Christmas cards and delivered them to a nursing home. It was a kind thing to do because we were making people feel good.
My third Blueberry Moment was when we gathered snacks and drinks and put them in a goody bag for local police officers. We also got to meet the two police men who came to pick it up. There were snacks, drinks, and cards inside the bags. We did it to show how much we care about them and what they do for us. I felt good because I was helping my community. On all of these random acts of kindness I felt good because I was helping people stay positive and happy.
My very first Blueberry Moment was when I took sweet tarts, sour candy, mints, and put the candy in a container with a lid then put a note in the container and gave that to my teacher. That made me feel good because she does NOT get many presents.
My second Blueberry Moment was when I made Christmas cards and sent them to the nursing home. That made me feel great, and now those people know we care.
My last Blueberry Moment was when I made a care basket for the police station. I put chips, fruits and, drinks in a couple of bags. And gave the bags to two police officers to take to the police station. That made me feel awesome because they help our community.
My first Blueberry Moment was Christmas time. All of us made cards for people that live in a nursing home. This made me happy because I was helping people who needed company and a little cheering up.
My second Blueberry Moment was when we did a food can drive and we got all the canned goods from the classrooms and sorted all the foods. This made me happy because I was helping Ms. Taylor and helping get food to those that needed it.
My third Blueberry Moment was when we made some bags and a box of healthy snacks and gave it to our community police officers. This all made me happy because we were giving healthy things to our police officers and helping the community out. I made special origami flowers to decorate their bags.
