Blueberry Moment 14439
For my first random act of kindness, I went to the print shop at Mott Community College. I helped the workers cut, slice, and stack note cards. After doing the act, I felt happy about helping someone. Giving the Blueberry Card to the print shop manager, and seeing him smile made my day to see how I impacted someone. I hope he passes the Blueberry Card to someone who needs a special act of kindness. The impact on helping someone made me feel like I can help more people because I enjoy helping people, making them feel like they matter.

Blueberry Moment 14437
For my second Blueberry Moment, I went To the Student Life in The Prahl Building at Mott Community College. I was putting the MMC logos on the back of Christmas holiday cards during the Christmas time. I felt happy that I did something for the people. And also, I gave instead of received things for the holidays. I felt happy leaving the Prahl building because I know I did something great for someone.

For my first random act of kindness, I gave another person a shirt that I had won in a performance competition. When I won, I noticed this other person was really sad. So, I decided to give her my shirt that I won. She was really surprised. She was jumping up and down and kept thanking me. I felt good about this because I made someone else happy.

Blueberry Moment 14404
For my second random act of kindness, I gave a person my seat on the bus. He was really thankful and he told me thank you. In addition, he told me that not too many people do nice things for him. This made me feel really good because I helped someone out. He really looked like he needed the seat because he had walked a long way to get to the bus stop.

Blueberry Moment 14403
For my third act of kindness, I drew a self portrait. My portrait was hung up in a coffee shop. The manager wanted things to represent Flint. We drew on old materials from Flint that are on display at the coffee shop. The manager was happy with my picture. I felt good about this because I contributed to a cause in the community.

Blueberry Moment 14401
For my first random act of kindness, I wrote a “Dear Santa” letter. By writing the letter, JCPenney will donate money to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish Foundation uses money that has been donated to give children with cancer the opportunity to fulfill a wish. I felt really good about this because every child has a dream and these children don’t know how long they have to make their wish come true.

Blueberry Moment 14471
For my second random act of kindness, I helped create Valentine’s cards for Mott Middle College students. The students will receive these cards on Valentine’s Day with a piece of candy to show that we care about all of our students. I feel good about this because I was able to lead our school in a good direction of kindness.

Blueberry Moment 14470
For my third random act of kindness, I joined a fellowship group that cares about the future. This organization helps raise awareness about things going on around the world. I feel good about this organization because we pay attention to things that may be forgotten by others. We are teenagers that care about our future and the well-being of others.

For my random act of kindness, I helped bag groceries for someone. I did this because there wasn’t anyone there to help with bagging the groceries. I don’t work at this place, but I did help. The person that I did this kind act for was shocked that I would just step in and offer to help. I felt good about doing this because the fact of helping others makes me feel good about myself.

Blueberry Moment 14434
For my random act of kindness, I helped the store clerk stock the drinks. I did this because his shelf stocker wasn’t at work that day. The clerk was happy because no one has offered to help him with this before. It made me feel good because when I make others happy I feel happy.

Blueberry Moment 14436
For my random act of kindness, I volunteered at an animal shelter to help feed and play with the animals. I did this because of my love of animals. The animal shelter was happy because not many people volunteer to help. It made me happy because if I can make the animals happy, then I will be happy because animals need love too.

Blueberry Moment 14484
My first act of kindness was when I came to school and I went to the Public Safety Health Office to ask the woman at the desk if she needed help with anything. She replied they were short on staff and needed me to disinfect all the door handles. After I finished, I handed her a Blueberry Card and told her to pass it along. She gave me a smile and told me how grateful she was for people like me. I feel like I made her day. This act made me feel good because I feel like I prevented diseases and contagious colds by cleaning the door handles.

For one of my acts of kindness, I have decided to look up a funny but kind quote and put it in a hallway. I felt amazing doing this because I was able to have fun all throughout this act of kindness. I was also able to witness the conversation that it started up. When students saw the poster, they immediately started up a conversation with people around them. Making new friends just because they had similar interests. I am very happy that just a simple act of making a poster and sticking it on a wall can bring people closer together.

Blueberry Moment 14441
I did my second act of kindness at a bowling match. I took care of all of the trash that the other teams left behind. I thought it would a nice thing to do because the bowling alley was packed with people with a lot of chaos going on. After I cleaned up the table from the team next to me, the guy that worked there noticed and said that he appreciated it. I felt that I relieved him from stress and I felt great helping someone out.

Blueberry Moment 14442
Today, I found out about this newly opened business in Swartz Creek and decided to check it out. The business is called Eatin’ Vegan Cafe, which is a place where you can go that doesn’t serve any animal products (If you are wanting to check them out they are off of Miller and Seymour). They have only opened a few weeks ago which made my act of kindness oh so much better. When ordering something to eat, Danora, my Dad, and I all noticed that the menu looked like it was printed off of a printer at home with no color. So knowing that my dad owns a print shop, we all decided to clean up and fix their menu with color. Not only did we do that but, we also got some vinyl to make the address more noticeable on the door of the store. After fixing up the menu, we printed up 70+ free copies for the new business owner and also had their address all cut out and ready to be put on. When we came back to the Cafe with everything, the owner was so happy that something like that happened. It was her smile that just make it oh so great. That is how I found out that the menu was done on Microsoft Words free trial and was printed out at the library for 10 cents a copy  .I am glad that she loved the new menus that she has now and that she is successful in the future because it is the little things that gets you far.

This past weekend I decided to take care of my baby brother for the whole weekend. I did this to give my parents a break from having to always deal with my brother non-stop. It was actually really fun to do activities such as play games and watch his favorite shows. It made me feel really good to be doing a good deed for my parents. I will be willing to do this anytime!

Blueberry Moment 14413
I decided to do my sister’s chore for the day which was to wash the dishes. She does a lot for me and she works hard in school and she has a job. I knew that taking care of her chore would allow her to get the extra rest that she needed. It felt great to get the thanks that she gave me. After she saw that I did her dishes she went right to sleep. The feeling of happiness that you get after you do a good deed is something nothing else can replace. So, I am thankful to be a part of a program that motivates me to do good deeds.

Blueberry Moment 14409
For my Blueberry Moment, I gave christmas gifts to kids. I did this because I knew the kids and I knew that they would be happy to get gifts because their parents were having other concerns. The person responded by thanking me so much for what I did. I felt good because it mattered to give the kids what they wanted even if it was something as simple as a few dolls and coloring books.

Blueberry Moment 14449
For my final Blueberry Assignment I went to the North End South Kitchen as a volunteer. I went with my TeenQuest friends and we helped fold and stock boxes for people in need. It made me feel really great to do this and I also felt a part of a group while I did this activity. I learned many skills and it was just overall amazing to do. I had fun while helping tons of people in need. This is something that I will always be willing to do!

For my act of kindness, I decided to help my friend with algebra. He’s not the best at math, and neither am I, but since I was getting it, I decided to help him. At first, it was kind of difficult. We weren’t really on the same page, and it was a little frustrating. But as we continued, he was starting to understand and by the end he was actually able to do the sets. I’m glad I was able to help him and at the same time I was able to spread kindness.

Blueberry Moment 14452
My random act of kindness was giving a little child a quarter to get something from the little machines in the front of Kroger. It made me happy doing it. It was completely random. The kid was asking her mom for something from the machine and I gave the child a quarter.

Blueberry Moment 14453
During our four day weekend, I helped with building our new fortifications for our chicken coop and I did it even though I didn’t have to. The reason I did it was because I really wanted to keep my chickens safe. My family was very happy when I helped and I also felt very good.

Blueberry Moment 14454
Over the holiday break my friend’s family needed their driveway shoveled so they could go to the store but needed help because the driveway is huge. I did it just because they needed help. They were were very grateful, and afterwards I felt pretty good.

At my school, we are provided with laptops so that getting work done can be done without a hassle. My brother, on the other hand, doesn’t have a computer and needed one desperately in order to meet deadlines. So, my brother was talking about how he needed to use mine one day and I let him use it. After I let him borrow mine, I slipped out of the house and went to the store to buy my brother a laptop. I brought it back home gave it to him and said “SURPRISE!” And he gave me a big hug and I felt good about the decision that I had made. You might think that this doesn’t qualify as a random act of kindness, but it really does. I stepped out of my way and saw that my brother needed something in order to pass classes and did something about it, so to me it was most definitely a random act of kindness.

Blueberry Moment 14448
At my school I felt that every student should have a boost in attitude and why not from those of your peers. So, I thought to myself… What would I want someone to say to me to get my day blueberry better? The ideas where endless.  So I said why not make it into a chain that the whole school can participate in and enjoy. The contributions are great and and watching people read them and smile was enough to make me feel that I made someone’s day. The chain is still being shackled as we speak!

Blueberry Moment 14463
Kindness. That’s something we’re all familiar with but something that most of us don’t act on enough. Kindness is often made out to be some grand thing but it truly is as simple as a brief smile or even holding the door open for someone. In fact, you reading this is a gesture of kindness; showing you care enough to read what I have to say. Even if you don’t you are at least reading my words that I poured myself into and that is enough for me. I joined Blueberry Ambassadors because I wanted to make a difference. We should always be kind to one another every single day! It really isn’t that difficult. All you have to do is be polite and respectful. You don’t even have to go out of your way to be kind. Unless you consider putting down your phone for a minute to help someone pick up their fallen books out of your way. I joined this program not really sure what to expect when I got a notification one day that there was an opportunity for me to help and get rid of a card. That was just perfect! I hadn’t given one of them away yet! So, I quickly jumped at the chance and showed up during my focus hour to work with some guy who I had never met in the Student Life Center. A man briefly showed us how to stamp these stickers on these cards before shuffling off to his office. I grabbed one of the cards and turned it over to see Christmas decorations on the front. I didn’t think much of it and continued to stick the cards on them. Eventually, my back started aching from the uncomfortable chair and I was near the end of the stack when curiosity overtook me. Either that or the sheer boredom from the strange and very inconsistent playlist, the awkwardness of the silence between the guy and I, and the boring repetitive task at hand. Whatever it was, I peeked in one of the cards. All the pieces clicked and I beamed. These were cards for troops! I quickly set off with my task with new enthusiasm. My stepdad used to be in the military and I knew how tough it was to be away from family and friends and to be one of those people. He was away for a year and it was one of the hardest years of my life. I felt swelling joy and warmth in my chest as I pictured some random person across the globe, their heavy clothes clinging to their weather-beaten frame and they offer a tired smile to the soldiers around them before collapsing into a worn wooden chair where their friend offers a deck of cards. Suddenly a man throws a big sack on the table and they all root around to pull out a letter in which they open and smile. I quickly finished my task and then helped wipe down tables and as I was walking back to focus I smiled and felt very satisfied with my work.

Blueberry Moment 14461
One day I was hanging out in Focus, chatting nonchalantly with my friends when my phone buzzed and I checked to see Valencia texting me. “Krishan and I are going to do a blueberry deed. You in?” “Yep!” “Alright, we’re on our way! :)” I packed up my stuff, explaining that I had to go to Mr. Coviak (my Focus teacher), who quickly answered the knock at the door and smiled at my friends. “So what are we doing?” I asked as we made our way down the music hall. “We’re cleaning chromebooks,” Valencia explained. “Oh, that seems simple,” I said. Once we got to the office Krishan walked me through the whole process and I quickly found it was not as simple as I had figured. Soon I fell into a rhythm. Scrape off the sticker, clean the keys and screen, check the number on the bottom, fill out the form, set the paper on the keys, and close the laptop. Quiet chat fell upon us. “I don’t understand why people don’t take better care of their chromebooks,” Krishan huffed. “Right? I just found a bunch of crumbs under the keys,” Valencia frowned. “People pay for these,” I muttered, finally scraping off a particularly stubborn sticker. “Yeah, you’d think they’d take better care of them,” Krishan rolled her eyes and Valencia nodded in agreement. “I’ll pay you guys to talk outside my office all day!” Mrs. Green (our principal) shouted from inside her office, causing a chorus of laughter to erupt from us. After we finished, we gathered together for a picture and give away our cards, knowing we just saved the secretary a bunch of work.

Blueberry Moment 14462
My best friend’s name is Emily. You’re probably thinking, “Oh yeah, highschool friendship, whatever! You guys will probably get in a petty fight and never talk again!” But Em and I have been best friends for three years. It hasn’t been long but we’ve been through a lot and we stick together no matter what. Last friday, she did something. Something that nobody had ever thought she would do. Last summer she heard about it and was apprehensive at first, but I encouraged her and convinced her to do it. She was going to be the only freshman to give a speech in an event in front of her entire school. We worked for many months. Proofreading, editing, editing, and more editing. Em wasn’t satisfied with her first few drafts and I looked through them and found the original concept idea. “Emily! Look at this! This is perfect!” I held it up. “Oh, I wrote that ages ago when I was coming up with ideas,” She shook her head dismissively. “But it’s short and sweet and straight to the point… Sure, it needs some editing but I think you should use this.” “Alright, I’ll look at it,” She rolled her eyes, getting ready to edit. A few months later, I awoke with sunlight in my eyes, realizing today was the day of the speech and I wouldn’t attend school because I was  going an hour away to support Emily. I quickly got dressed and sat anxiously for an hour in the car, aching to see her. Finally, we arrived at the school in the parking lot.  I saw her mom and I jogged over, offering a small wave. Suddenly, a man stepped out of the other side and I gasped, beaming. It was Emily’s dad who lives in Portland, Oregon! He flew all the way down to see Emily. I introduced myself and he smiled. “I’ve heard so much about you!” “And I, you!” “It’s nice to meet you!” I shook his hand and we all made our way inside.  Emily’s dad hid until the show started because he didn’t want to distract Em. I took my place beside her and our other close friend Kayla. I greeted and hugged them both. Suddenly, the lights dim and Emily gives me an anxious smile and scurries to the front row. “Go Em!” Kayla and I shout. Emily, turns out was the first to go. She shyly stepped up to the podium and adjusted the microphone. I glanced down at her fingers. They’re shaking. “You got this,” I whispered. She suddenly launched into it, her words were shaky and unconfident at first then they transformed to confident deliberate phrases. She made broad hand gestures, yelled, met everyone’s eyes. The theater is hushed, everyone is in awe. Suddenly she finished and gave everyone a smile and a ‘thank you’. Everything was silent then… Everyone is instantly on their feet, screaming and clapping their hands. She stumbled down the stairs and ran down the aisle into my arms. I smiled. “You were so amazing!” I whispered. “Thanks!” We watched the rest of the speeches and she turned to me. “I have to go back to class.” I think back to her dad. “Say goodbye to your mom first,” I nudged her. She rolled her eyes. “Alright,” I follow her up the aisle and suddenly she stops, gasping. “Surprise!” I said happily and she sprints down the aisle, leaping into her dad’s arms, tears springing to her eyes. I was happy that I was there to support her during her speech and that her dad was able to as well. Emily and I now live far from each other but the distance doesn’t matter to us. We support each other no matter what.

For my first random act of kindness, I helped my mom shop for groceries. She had a list of things her mother-in-law wanted from the store, and she had things we needed for our family as well. So, I asked for the list of groceries that our family needed and shopped for those items. I decided to do it because I knew I was helping my mom and I wanted her job to be easier. I was at the Walmart in Flint, and my mom was happy and proud of me. The experience impacted me because I wanted to do something nice for my mom and as a result, she was happy and pleased to know that I was helpful to her.

Blueberry Moment 14428
For my second random act of kindness, I was one of the two kids helping make Christmas ornaments in the Student Life Center for Harley Brown, a student worker there. First Ms. Hackett introduced us to the Student Life Coordinator Dawn Vanniman. Then Harley showed us how to create the ornaments. I also helped wipe down tables with disinfecting wipes. I decided to do it because I talked to Ms. Hackett and she said she needed a couple of people to help out there and I thought I could help. I was at the Student Life Center in the Prahl building. Harley was happy that we helped him and later found another student to actually put the ornaments up. The experience impacted me because I wanted to help Mr. Brown with his task of putting up Christmas decorations.

Blueberry Moment 14450
For my third random act of kindness, I helped in an event called the “Soup-Per-Bowl”, and the event was on February 2nd, 2018. It lasted from 4pm-7pm and it was a fundraiser to raise homelessness awareness in Flint. It was their 4th time doing this annual event, and sponsored by U of M Flint. The event was located at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, and the volunteers there also took donations, which benefited Catholic Charities’ Warming Center and Meal Programs. This event also had a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction/drawing, which I helped officiate. Prizes for the auction included a Bluetooth speaker bulb (Lightbulb that can play music), a makeup kit, candy, movies and popcorn, and a nerf gun. People there received soup and a sandwich for $5, and you could get your soup served in a hand-crafted pottery bowl by contributing $20 (Bowls were made by Jon Whitney Pottery). While there, I aided some volunteers in handing out bowls (You could pick plastic, or a hand-crafted one). I decided to do this because I actually attended this event last year, and wanted to help the people there, as they might need help finding something or how to pay for their food. The reaction of the people there was that they were happy to have someone guide them at the event, as well as being happy to get a meal/be entertained, because there was live music. The people who won the one or more of the auction prizes were more than happy to get their prizes for entering the auction, and for some people, I brought it to their table. It impacted me to see that I was helping people get a meal and find their way around the building.

Blueberry Moment 14480
My first Blueberry Moment was when I was in the elevator coming into the Mott Memorial Building and I saw a guy carrying multiple instruments and he appeared to be struggling because his hands were full. First, I offered him assistance because it was really cold out, and then as we approached the door, I held the door open because I had the least amount of instruments in my hands. After we got off the elevator, I carried his instruments to his destination for him. He showed a great amount of gratitude and I was very happy I could assist him and make his day.

Blueberry Moment 14481
My second Blueberry Moment was at school. My friend, DeNauja had just gotten her hair done and it was very rainy outside. She did not have an umbrella nor a jacket with a hood on it. I made the decision to give her my jacket I had on because my hair wasn’t really done and I didn’t really mind getting it wet.

Blueberry Moment 14482
For my third Blueberry Moment, I helped someone on the day before Thanksgiving. I helped my mom bring in the groceries for Thanksgiving dinner. I then proceeded to help her put the groceries away and also helped her cook the food later on that day. I felt so good knowing I was helping someone as special as my mother. Being a Blueberry Ambassador is truly an honoring experience. It has inspired me to help people as much as I possibly can even if it goes unrecognized. I believe some people do not go out on a limb to help those around them because they believe it goes unnoticed, but being a Blueberry Ambassador has showed me so much, and I will continue to do as many good deeds as I possibly can.

Blueberry Moment 14488
For my random act of kindness, I helped create Valentine’s Day cards for our school. Everyone in my school will receive a Valentine’s Day card with a piece of candy attached to it. I feel really good about doing this because some people may not have received anything on this day. I want to surprise our students and make them happy with a small gift.

Blueberry Moment 14487
For my random act of kindness, I helped my neighbor snow blow the block. My neighbor was pleased and happy because he is an older man. I felt really good about this because he didn’t have to snow blow the whole block and I was able to help minimize the amount of work he has to do.

Blueberry Moment 14486
For my random act of kindness, I volunteered at the concession stand and helped Ms. Cunningham sell food items at the basketball game. Ms. Cunningham was happy I was there because she needed help and was not able to do it all without a helping hand. I felt good about this because she is always there for everyone and it felt really good to give back.

Blueberry Moment 14406
For my random act of kindness, I gave my teacher an art project that I had spent a lot of time on. It was a plastic pumpkin that I drew Zentangle designs on. Ms. Mason really appreciated it and is using it as a desk decoration in her office. I felt really good about giving Ms. Mason my picture because I didn’t want all of my hard work to go unnoticed.

Blueberry Moment 14407
For this random act of kindness, I plan to make individual Mother’s Day cards for all the teachers that are mothers in my school. The cards will all be special and different for each teacher. I will feel good about showing my appreciation for all my teachers and for recognizing them for all the work they do.

Blueberry Moment 14408
For my last Blueberry Moment I am going to volunteer at the library because I want to give back because the library has been one of the reasons for my success. I am going to do this because I enjoy the supplies the library provides me such as various tools I need to be successful. The librarian will be happy to have me volunteer because it takes a fraction of their work off their shoulders. It also makes their job easier and they can work on other important things. I feel good doing this because I am giving back to my community.

Danaya Crowder
Blueberry Moment 14466
For my first random act of kindness, I bought my friend lunch because she did not have any money. She was really happy and surprised that I would buy her lunch. I felt really good about this because I like seeing people smile.

Blueberry Moment 14465
For my second random act of kindness, I activated a tablet for my brother that he got for Christmas. He was very happy that I did this for him because nobody else knew how to do it. I felt good helping my brother because I like doing nice things for my siblings.

Blueberry Moment 14464
For my third random act of kindness, I helped organize our “all school” Blueberry chain. Our teacher got the strips of paper cut and then I put them in groups of 20 to give to the teachers. My teacher was very happy that I helped because we have about 14 teachers that each needed 20 strips of paper. I felt good helping my teacher because she looked really busy and I knew she needed some help.

For my first random act of kindness, I helped Ms. Carrie in the main office move packages of paper and put them in stacks. Ms. Carrie was happy because I did some hard work for her. I felt good helping Ms. Carrie because I like helping people.

Blueberry Moment 14422
For my second random act of kindness, I moved a cart of school supplies and gave them to the teachers. The teachers were very happy and told me “Thank you”. I felt good about this because when you do for others, you feel good about yourself.

Blueberry Moment 14423
For my third random act of kindness, I waited for the van to bring the school lunches. Next, I loaded the lunches on a cart and took them to the lunch room. Finally, I helped unload the lunches. Ms. Carrie was happy that I helped because she knows I am a good person and she appreciated the help. I felt good about this because I know she does a lot for the school and I know sometimes, she needs a little help.

Gladys Cox
Blueberry Moment 14415
I held the door open for fellow students and peers. It always makes me happy to do something for others. They always react by smiling and thanking me and that always brings a smile to my face.

Blueberry Moment 14416
Saturday, I gave a homeless person $5. It always makes me sad to see them out there and it makes me happy to at least be able to give them something. They always respond by smiling and thanking me and saying “God bless you”.

Blueberry Moment 14417
I offered to show a new girl to her class on her first day of school. It made me happy to welcome a new student by taking her to her class. She responded by saying thank you to me. I walked away smiling because I did something nice for someone.

Blueberry Moment 14468
For my random act of kindness, I helped a friend when she was sad and having a hard time. I did this because I don’t like to see anyone suffer for any reason and I’d want someone to do the same for me. My friend was happy afterwards and it helped her to get through her week better. I was happy to help her and that she trusted me enough to open up to me so that I could listen and help.

Blueberry Moment 14467
For my random act of kindness I bought my friend a gift for Christmas. It was makeup and I got it for her because she likes makeup but has no way to get it so I go it for her. She was happy when I gave it to her and it made me feel good  because I was able to see her smile.

Blueberry Moment 14411
For my Blueberry Moment, I gave a homeless person a trash bag full of soda pop cans so he could cash them in for money. The person I gave them to responded by being so grateful.  I could tell that I made him happy because he had on a big smile and said ” Thank you so much “. As I did this, I felt really good because I knew that person would cash in the bottles for a little extra cash that could help them make it through the day.

Blueberry Moment 14409
For my Blueberry Moment, I helped my mom make dinner for the first time. My mom was so happy and thankful for me by helping her without being asked.  I helped her make a big dinner for the whole family.  When i did this, I felt really good about because I felt as if I could find more and better ways to help my Mom out daily.  I can help make her life better and less stressful.

Blueberry Moment 14480
For my random act of kindness, I decided to open doors for people– as many doors as I could. If I was in front of someone, I decided to wait for them instead of letting the door slam on them (which is something that’s happened to me many times). Even though it was pretty cold outside, I felt good about making others’ days a little bit easier. In addition, I feel like karma is working in my favor, because now people are opening more doors for me!

For my random act of kindness, I decided to order pizza for my family with the money I got on Christmas. Since we’re usually busy, and a little lazy, no one really ever wants to cook if they don’t have to. So, I decided to order us all some pizza to enjoy. Everyone got a chance to relax for a little while longer, and it’s a win-win because no one had to worry about dinner and we got pizza!

I noticed throughout my experience that being a Blueberry Ambassador meant something more than just doing acts of kindness. For me my perception of the Blueberry Moments had more significance. Personally, I wanted to create a more compassionate space and be a good example to the world. For my first moment, I observed how I was having problems with a certain teacher and being very rude.  So one day, I asked if she might need help with anything after school. She seemed slightly surprised like I may be joking. However, when we were having this conversation she was very busy, so I knew that she would consider my gesture. We planned a date for when I would help her, but as I waited for the plans to work themselves out, I continued to work on my blueberry assignments. When the day finally came, I waited for her to finish her work and then we went to go do some things that she didn’t have the extra time to do. After doing this, I asked her how it made her feel and she said it made her feel very thankful and appreciative.

Later, I decided to create a new routine to do something regularly and get out of my comfort zone. My plan was to start to and create a routine of opening the door for whoever was behind me at that time. My goal was to successfully do this throughout the day constantly. In doing so, I made a lot of smiles and also encouraged other people and students to do the same. By doing this, I felt closer to my community and like I was doing something out of respect for everyone.

Holidays have always been something I enjoyed doing stuff for and getting a full experience in. This year, I wanted to appreciate some of the teachers who I notice go the extra mile with students. Appreciating the teachers at Mott Middle is an important factor to me because I think they all work very hard. Going through all these thoughts allowed me to come up with the idea to make gift bags for many of the teachers, that I have in my every day schedule. So through Christmas and Valentines Day I made sure I brought treats and themed baggies for them. When I was doing this, I gave my teachers a lot of smiles. Doing this made me feel like I wanted to do more and that I couldn’t wait to come with ideas to show more appreciation to the staff members school wide.
