It was a snowy morning in November and my mom woke me up to shovel the sidewalk and driveway. After I finished that task, I took a small break and thought about waiting for my brother to come out and assist me with shoveling our neighbors’ driveway. I decided to do it myself. Later that day, my neighbor thanked me.

The second month of school, I made a new close friend. I wanted to give her a gift to show her that I enjoy the new friendship so on December 19, 2018, I gave her a Christmas gift and one that shows our new bond. It was a petite chocolate cake and she enjoyed every bite. The next day, I received a stuffed flamingo as a Christmas gift and a Hershey’s snowman as our new bond. The both of us are still close to this day.

When my mom arrived home, she asked me to help her carry the groceries in. The Scouts’ Derby was the next day and she had to make a lot of food. I assisted her with everything that needed to be done. After that, I gave her the Blueberry Card.

I offered Mrs. Cookenmaster to sharpen the pencils for her next algebra class. I decided to do this because one, I LOVE to sharpen pencils with an electric pencil sharpener, and two, I thought it would help her out because she was busy trying to settle down the rest of the kids in the class at the time. Mrs. Cookenmaster was very grateful that I sharpened the pencils because it seemed like she was having a rough day and she needed a little help with things. And it impacted me in a great way because I started to get along better with Mrs. Cookenmaster.

I cooked dinner for my mom. She didn’t feel very well and I wanted to help her as much as possible. She threw up when it was time for her to make dinner and my step dad was going to go get cracker barrel. But I stopped him and told them both I could cook dinner. They looked at me weird but they were okay with the idea. So I went into the kitchen and cooked orange chicken and rice.

I helped out an elderly lady across the road. I went to my cousin’s house and me and her friends went to Speedway. While we were walking, we saw an elderly struggling to get across the street so I offered to help her out and she accepted the help.

I am helping a fundraiser for band selling chocolate bars. Someone asked me for one but he didn’t have any money so I gave him one for free and paid for it myself.

In Algebra class, my friend Donnie was stuck on a question but didn’t have his notes with him and I let him borrow mine.

My brother wanted to buy a sweatshirt but didn’t have any money on him so I let him borrow $20 to buy it.

My Blueberry Moment begins with my late night thinking about my teachers. I had recently purchased a book of pep talks in the form of poems called ‘Gmorning, Gnight: Little Pep Talks For Me And You’ by Lin Miranda. I thought about how many things they have to deal with and how much I appreciate everything they do. I wrote down the pep talks from my book on an index card and wrote notes. In those notes, I wrote how much I appreciated them and how greatly they have impacted my life. I threw these things in envelopes and sent them out to seven teachers, one teacher received the Blueberry Card. I even sent one to a teacher I didn’t even have, but who was an amazing teacher. All the teachers said that it brightened their day immensely. It made me feel so joyful and warmed my heart.

This Blueberry Moment begins with my mother talking about how our neighbors were out of town for a few days. They have a black cat named Walter who lives in the house, and never goes outside. My mother asked if I wanted to go take care of the cat while the neighbors were out. I said yes. After our neighbors returned from their trip, I handed them a Blueberry Card. This interaction made me feel as though I had to take care of a tiny baby. The cat meows so much.

This random act of kindness included me giving a girl at lunch $1.00 to buy something from the snack cart. She bought a chip bag and I gave her the Blueberry Card. This made me feel happy, and I’m sure it made her happy too.

My grandfather and I were on our way to the grocery store, and I saw a car trying to get out of the driveway but it was snowed in. So, I asked my grandad to pull over but he was hesitant at first until I just continued to ask. Then I walked up to the car to find a helpless old lady. She slowly began to roll down the window with a confused look on her face. I asked her if I could do her a favor and shovel the snow out of her driveway. She said yes so  Mrs. Davis went to go get  a shovel. After I was finished I was frozen solid but I reached in my pocket and pulled out the Blueberry Card and said, “Do I good deed and pass it on and have a blessed day.”

I helped my little brother Sir with his homework when he asks and since he is in love with math I play tricks with him and ask him trick questions like what’s the square root of a number knowing he wouldn’t know. Then I gave him the Blueberry Card and told him to be nice to someone for a change and make them feel better about themselves. You never know who exactly your helping you could be helping a future billionaire and they will not forget it.

Blueberry Moment 14838
I saw someone getting choked out by someone at school. He had made the excuse that he was just playing but the little kid that was getting choked didn’t have the look that it was just a joke on his face. So I pulled him off of the little kid and smacked him saying you can’t just be in school choking kids just as you pleased. I politely handed the Blueberry Card to the boy and told him to carry on the kindness.

My neighbor, Gilbert, just got back surgery. So, I went next door and shoveled his driveway for him. He only wanted half of it done but when he went inside I finished the whole driveway and went back to my house when he came back outside I could see the biggest smile on his face.

I was at Kroger with my mom and this lady that was two people in front of us and had some issues with not having enough money. I didn’t want her to have to get rid of anything for her kids so I paid her $2.98. When the cashier said that someone paid for her stuff she was so grateful that there’s people like this in the world.

My mom’s friend’s dad has to have surgery. They have their nephews for the week, so I volunteer to watch them so that they didn’t have to go to the hospital. She was so grateful and relieved, let’s be honest who wants to have to kids under the age of six at the hospital all day.
